About Me
I am currently going on my third year at the University of Central Florida, where I am earning my Bachelor's in Political Science and Theater. I come from a home of journalists, both my parents have worked for various newspapers and news outlets. I learned the ins and outs of writing, interviewing, and press releases from a young age without even realizing it thanks to them. I truly found my love for writing when I started my first semester at UCF, joining the organization Her Campus Magazine. It was through this outlet that I began to write the stories I wanted to tell .
July of 2024, I was accepted as an intern for the Strategic Communications with UCF Athletics. I spent the year learning about posting for professional social media accounts, recording stats, interview etiquette, and most importantly, writing previews for upcoming athletic events.
Aside from writing, I am also a member of Theatre UCF and have learned a lot about both technical theater and performance. I have used my acting talents to become a social media ambassador for UCF where I am frequently featured on UCF's Instagram and got to participate and a photo shoot with UCF's downtown campus.
Along with this, I am a Senator for UCF Student Government. I represent the College of Arts and Humanities in Student Government and I write and vote on legislation with my constituents in mind. In Senate, we pass bills, resolutions, and proclamations that better the UCF community. As a senator, I help handle and allocate the 20 million dollar Activity and Services Budget that directly supports the student body.
In June of 2025, I was appointed as the External Legislative Assistant of the Student Body Senate. In this role, I serve directly beneath the Speaker of the Senate on all external responsibilities. A few of the duties I am assigned are creating social media graphics for legislative events and information, media training the Senators prior to speaking to the press, and scheduling and facilities semester meetings with the Deans of UCF's colleges.
I was introduced to Model United Nations in high schools and immediately fell in love. I was elected as secretary in the spring of 2024 and have taken on this role with pride. In April 2025, I was elected as the Director of Recruitment and Outreach which allows me to connect with students to join MUN. I have competed in a wide variety of competitions around Florida and nationally as well as Canada. Displaying diplomatic relations and writing resolutions drew me into MUN and I haven't looked back since.
Beginning in March 2025, I was selected to join President's Leadership Council, a program that allows UCF's best students to serve as an ambassador for President Alexander Cartwright. Through this program I have attended Board of Trustee meetings, commencements, and donor events. Currently, I serve as the secretary which requires me to take meeting minutes, connect with alumni to highlight them in our newsletter, and create our end of year scrapbook.
From January 2024-January 2025, I had the opportunity to work as an orientation leader in which I helped to guide incoming UCF students with their transition to the school. With this role I not only had to lead small group discussions but I also spoke on various UCF related topics to groups of anywhere from 100-1,000 people. Through this position, I was given the chance to represent UCF at many professional events.
